Governor Phil Murphy announced his appointments to the newly formed Restart and Recovery Advisory Council, a diverse group of leaders tasked with advising the governor on how best to reopen our state and reinvigorate the economy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We were honored that Governor Murphy appointed our colleague, Alixon Collazos, to the subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
Transportation and infrastructure spending has been a cornerstone of many economic recovery packages through the years. For example, the federal government devoted $105 billion to transportation and infrastructure spending in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. New Jersey’s recovery from COVID-19 will likely lean heavily on infrastructure spending.
